A personal space for parents · By Jaishree Rawat

There’s a real family
behind every question.

The rushed mornings. The endless questions. The moments when you wish you had responded differently.

I’m Jaishree — a mother and science educator in Abu Dhabi. Here, I share practical ways to learn with our children, bring meaning to family traditions, and make room for connection in ordinary days.

What would fit your family today?

Choose an age and a focus for a short activity. Adapt it to your child’s interests and communication needs.

Let them show you

  1. Ask your child to choose a toy, drawing or book.
  2. Sit alongside them and let them lead for a few minutes.
  3. Describe something you notice, then give them time to respond. Words, gestures and pointing all count.

A small moment is enough. There is no score to earn.
